Association for Ethical Transformations
This association promotes a transformation approach that combines ethics and performance. Where these elements are often seen as opposed or contradictory, AET seeks instead to define approaches and tools, an operational framework, to nurture both dimensions.

In 2003, Vankatesh and his team published this article , which aimed to unify the main models for understanding and identifying the drivers of digital system adoption. This is the UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology). In its study on the state of digital adoption in 2024, WalkMe, a digital adoption platform provider, estimates the average productivity loss at 43 days per employee per year across its surveyed companies. This figure seems significant. While it is debatable, as it stems from a survey rather than precise measurement, it nonetheless gives an idea of the importance of adoption issues for businesses. A similar order of magnitude (9 to 12% lost productivity due to lack of adoption) is found in Gartner's guide on purchasing digital adoption platforms. While the methodology is also open to discussion, the study nonetheless demonstrates a similar level of concern. This topic is of interest to many companies, as the market is estimated at $1 billion in 2024. The 2025 version of this report is also available and shows no significant change in the perceived importance of adoption. A full analysis is available on our blog.
At Hermedis, we firmly believe that adoption is primarily a people issue (organization, governance, culture, networks, engagement, etc.) before it is a technical one. While adoption platforms can be useful for disseminating information, they don't address the challenge of creating relevant information in real time, tailored to the users. Nor do they provide a space for resolving the inherent conflicts between business and IT within the organization. That's why we propose focusing on the organization itself first.
